For Course creators, coaches and educators

Kajabi costs $179 to $499 a month. Own LearnKit for $179 once.

Courses, student progress, certificates and one-to-one booking, except the code is yours, your student list is yours, and there is no contact cap pushing you up a plan.

The verdict

LearnKit replaces Kajabi for course creators, coaches and educators: a one-time $179 instead of paying $179 to $499/mo indefinitely, and you own the source code and the database. Keep Kajabi if you want funnels, landing pages and email marketing in one hosted product, or you do not want to host anything yourself.

What's actually different

Feature parity is table stakes. The real shift is ownership.

No contact cap

Kajabi moves you up a plan as your list grows and charges $125 a month for each extra 25,000. LearnKit has no contact ceiling because the database is yours.

Your student relationship

Students, enrollments and progress live in your own Supabase project, under your domain, with no vendor branding between you and them.

Pay once, keep the margin

There is no plan fee scaling with revenue. Card payments go straight to your Stripe account.

How switching works

Most operators take 2-3 weeks end to end. We handle the data migration; you handle the customer-facing brand polish.

  1. 1

    Export your contacts

Kajabi lets you export contacts as a CSV from the Contacts tab. Course content is not covered by that export, so keep your original lesson files.

  2. 2

    Deploy LearnKit

Accept the repository invitation and follow the README to deploy on your own Supabase and Vercel.

  3. 3

    Rebuild your courses

Recreate each course in the lesson builder and import the contacts list as students.

  4. 4

    Move over gradually

Open new enrollments on LearnKit first, let current students finish, then cancel Kajabi.
