For Home-service business owners

Housecall Pro costs $59 to $299 a month billed annually. Own ServicePro for $199 once.

Booking, dispatch, invoicing and review requests, except the code is yours, the database is yours, and adding a technician never changes your software bill.

The verdict

ServicePro replaces Housecall Pro for home-service business owners: a one-time $199 instead of paying $59 to $299/mo indefinitely, and you own the source code and the database. Keep Housecall Pro if you want a fully hosted tool with a vendor support team and no deployment step, or you rely on its route optimization and recurring service plans.

What's actually different

Feature parity is table stakes. The real shift is ownership.

Users stop being a pricing lever

Housecall Pro sizes plans by users. ServicePro is one purchase, and a new technician or office hire adds nothing to the software bill.

The API is just your database

Housecall Pro keeps its open API on the Max plan. With ServicePro the code and the Supabase database are yours, so any integration is a query away.

You hold the data

Exports from a hosted tool are files you request. Here every customer, job and invoice already lives in your own Supabase project.

How switching works

Most operators take 2-3 weeks end to end. We handle the data migration; you handle the customer-facing brand polish.

  1. 1

    Export from Housecall Pro

An admin can export the customers list and the jobs list from Housecall Pro; the file is emailed to you. Pull both before you start.

  2. 2

    Deploy ServicePro

Accept the private repository invitation, follow the README to create your Supabase project and deploy on Vercel.

  3. 3

    Import your customers

Load the customer and job files with the CSV import. If you want a hand with mapping, send a custom request.

  4. 4

    Run both for a week

Send new bookings through ServicePro, let in-flight jobs finish in Housecall Pro, then cancel once a clean week has passed.

Questions we hear

What does ServicePro cost to run?+

ServicePro is $199 once. After that you pay your own hosting and messaging: Supabase and Vercel both have free tiers, and email and SMS are billed at your provider rates. Card payments use your own Stripe account at its standard rate.

Do I need to be a developer?+

You deploy it once. The README walks through Supabase, environment variables and Vercel, and a custom request can cover the setup. Day to day, the dashboard is point and click.

Can I keep my customer history?+

Yes. Export your customers and jobs from Housecall Pro and import them with the CSV importer.

What does ServicePro not do?+

It does not include the native phone app or the vendor-run support team a hosted product has. It ships as a web app you deploy and own.

Own your operations.

ServicePro ships with for home services, hvac, plumbing, cleaning, landscaping. One purchase, no per-seat fees, full source ownership.
